One of the great day for me and a historic day for the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli. We have seen inauguration ceremony of the Damanganga River front today - 19/11/2013. This is a really big day. As most of you are aware that human life and rivers or sea shore have deep relations over the years. Most of big cities in India (i.e. Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Surat, Patna, Allahabad etc.) and abroad (i.e. London, Sydney, Paris, Tokyo, New York, Durban etc.) are developed either on the bank of river or on the sea shore. Silvassa have always had that benefit of Daman ganga river. Now this project will boost the tourism, hotel business and water sports apart from a great picnic spot. It will also bring up the water level of surrounding area which includes major part of Silvassa. :)
