One of the great experiences of my career was getting to work with this incredibly gifted gentleman, Richard Stone. He even got me to (ulp!) sing! With a relative degree of confidence! One of my greatest thrills was actually getting to step into the room he mentions in this article, at the time called The Carl Stalling Stage (and now inexplicably named for Clint Eastwood.. huh??) and hearing our shows music, the Pinky & The Brain music, LIVE, in that very firkin room where ALL the Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Pepe LePew cartoons Ive loved my whole life were recorded back in the 1950s. Rich was one of the greats, truly! He died too young, and I think of him often, and always with tremendous fondness.
