One of the great mysteries of modern science is ... where are the aliens? We should have heard one by now through the use of radio telescopes. It may be the case that few high energy technology civilizations ... those capable of emitting radio transmissions and noise ... last long. Maybe this ... planetary ecosystem destruction ... is the Great Filter through which most intelligent species fail to pass.
