One of the great things about being an author is the opportunity for research in exotic places! These pics were taken this past June at the incredible Minoan ruins, site of a 4000 year old city - Gournia! Its located on a large hill on the north shore of Crete. Spectacular! I will be using this location as an action backdrop in the book Im working on now (working title is The Minoan Cipher?) My research assistant and I tromped all over the site in 90+ degrees temps with a fierce warm wind blowing from the south, which is why it was great to sit, relax, and gather my notes at the end of the day...
