One of the great things about starting a nutrition program that is macro-based (using protein/fat/carb goals) is that you dont have to buy anything special to start. If you eat, you can start right away. You dont have to create a grocery list, go grocery shopping, buy supplements or shakes, create a meal plan, surf for recipes. Yep, its that simple. Eat and youre on your way. You can eat what you currently have in your fridge and pantry. If those are pretty bare, you can eat out as an option. Make the foundation of your meals a palm sized piece of protein, a balled fist size of veggies, and add a carb. The amount of carb may vary based on your calorie goals but this will get you off to a great start. Log what you eat, see how close it matches up to your goal numbers, and adjust portions as needed. With every meal think - palm sized protein, fist sized veggie, handful of carbs. Subway subs work, McDonalds salads, all kinds of restaurants can do meat, veggies and a carb. Just follow the guidelines, track it, and see how the totals line up with your goal numbers without using the reason of getting ready to stall. Jump in with both forks. The eatings fine. ;)
