One of the greatest gifts my parents gave me relates to principle. My dad especially was a constant example of living by your core values/principles and being guided by your moral compass. Among the many abject lessons I learned was that sometimes doing the right thing is difficult and risky, but that you do it anyway even if you risk adversity or getting in trouble. I owe quite a bit of the man and leader that I have become to my father. Thanks for helping me build my core and construct a reliable moral compass Dad! This has been a tough week, but I know in my heart that I have done things right.
