One of the greatest science stories that remains untold is our peoples ability to to ensure that seed banks are undertaken so that the best and most tolerant seed varieties are stored for future usage. Of today, this remain one of the biggest concern to livelihoods due to the loss of traditional practices that for so many years had ensured the survival of our people. Should concerted efforts accompanied by responsive legislation not be pursued, locally adapted seed varieties are will be lost, and dependence on outside seed suppliers will rapidly become order of the day. Remember the hand that feeds you control you. The implications will reverberate far beyond food production. Farmers will indebted as the control of process for seed variety will result in land tenure loss and force migration. This causes will accelerate urbanisation and social dislocation.There is already a massive thrust by nations and corporations to gain land tenure in fertile tropical African agricultural zones.
