One of the greatest secrets to contentment in life is genuinely loving people and trying to think the best of them. I believe that it takes so much more out of you to hate than it does to love. In fact, I think that love will rejuvenate and revive you. But yet, it seems to be easier to hate than to love particularly when someone has disappointed or hurt you. There is something about the human mind that wants to retaliate against others. That, of course, never works because it makes you like the person who hurt you, and in some cases, worse than. So, in this season of holiday cheer, if you are feeling isolated or lonely, reach out and love somebody the right way and see if it doesn’t change your perspective about how you feel.
