One of the joys of getting old - waking up at 5:22 AM on a Saturday, and not being able to get back to sleep. But my Shuffle was on the nightstand, so I listened to a little music while unsuccessfully trying to conk out again. This chestnut from JT came up and although Ive heard it literally hundreds of times, through the in-ear-monitors this morning I heard, or more accurately, listened for the first time to the bass part, and realized how lovely, lyrical and imaginative it was. Kudos to Leland Sklar on this one. Listen up, David Wallace and Richard Mitts - this is for you:
