One of the joys of home-sewn lingerie is the opportunity for better fit. I just ran across this in an article in the August 1971 issue of the Ensign (the official magazine of the LDS Church). The article is almost entirely devoted to sewing instructions on how to make your own lingerie. Because it is exciting and rewarding to create. And hey, what better way is there to express the pioneer spirit of self-sufficiency?
