One of the key issues that can create bitterness is when you renege on a promise you have made especially paying back a loan. People may think you have taken them for granted or as a fool when you fail to fulfil repay money you have borrowed at the agreed date. It is even worse when the defaulter chooses not to talk about it and behave as if nothing is amiss. This is especially painful for the lender if he has a plan for the money or when he is unable to take any action because of the level of closeness with you. The advice for this week are as follows: 1. The most important point is to always repay whatever you have borrowed by the agreed date. 2. If for any SERIOUS reason you are unable to meet the agreed date, speak to the lender in good time, certainly before the date. 3. Rather than ignore issues, it is always better to confront and resolve them. The earlier you do so, the better too. 4. Never make a promise that you cannot fulfil. Be honest with people. 5. It is your responsibility to do everything possible to ensure that whatever relationship you have with lender does not break down. Never make anyone look stupid or be at fault simply because they were kind to you. Have a good week
