One of the loveliest music event organizers we knew in Australia passed away today. Mr Kathir had called me to perform for him a few years ago and he was one of the loveliest gentlemen who had the most regard and respect for musicians. World over, the Srilankan Tamils are the most gracious & kind hosts. Sadly Mr Kathir reportedly organized a couple of shows which didnt do well and the man buckled due to financial strain with no one coming forward to bail him out. Mom had offered that I could come and perform free of cost for him if that could help him bail him out but sadly, it was too late. Rest in peace Mr Kathir.
