One of the more fun things about being an old songwriter is that every now and then you can impress your kids a little bit by telling them about famous people that recorded your songs over the years. Had a classic moment a couple of weeks ago when in NYC after seeing Phantom of the Opera, my daughter started telling me about the music of the show. I casually mentioned that Michael Crawford (the original Phantom) had recorded one of our songs. It was that moment parents of teenagers dream of when for a brief moment you are actually legit. Thought I might have another one tonight when I was telling my son about a Christmas song we wrote for Donny Osmond a few years back. The moment was lost however when he told me he had never heard of Donny Osmond. Oh well… For those two or three of you old enough to remember him, here’s a link to the song. https://youtube/watch?v=bBbN83K2pyI I pray everyone on my Facebook list has a blessed Christmas.
