One of the more interesting new products that I ran across at the Prepare2Endure Expo in Bakersfield a couple of week ago was a new Thermolectric Generator called the PowerPot. You essentially boil water over any kind of fire such as gas, charcoal, or wood, and the device generates up to 5 watts of 5V USB power to power up or recharge your smartphone, cell, headlamp, and similar devices.
