One of the more ridiculous calls I got was initial from a IT college who was visiting a branch office. He phoned and said I think you should deal with this call and proceed to hand the phone to a user. Me : how can I help User: Ive changed the font in windows and I cant change it back Me: just do what you did in reverse User : I cant do that Me: why not? User: cant see it anymore Now to explain, we had a shadow system where we on Helpdesk could get a remote onto the users desktop. I had been logging on as I was speaking and just as the finished speaking the desktop came up. All that was on the screen was one big F ( as in File) We awarded them plonker of the week.
