One of the most astounding comments I have ever come across was while I was reading a book that many read and is the most printed books in history. The Bible! It was when Jesus was hanging on the cross about to die and after being tortured severely He said, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." Upon hearing this one of the Roman soldiers declared," Surely this was the Son of God!" As a representative of the Kingdom of Heaven and a child of God I believe extending forgiveness to people and asking Father in Heaven to forgive people of their actions for in truth they really do not know what they have done! It is perhaps the most solid proof that you are a real child of heaven when we practice forgiveness, so much so that even the most hardened of people like the Roman soldier take notice and declare that truly you are a son of God!
