One of the most common sense reasons that the public is thoroughly disgusted with public officials and with government in general, has to do with the method that public officials use when communicating with the public or when they are holding public meetings or when they are enacting legislation. Currently, most – not all -- public officials are so isolated by their vanity, narcissism and egomania that it prevents effective communications with the public. In New Mexico the public could create a grand opportunity to shake things up to help improve communication among public officials and the public. Think about this approach: The New Mexico state legislature passes legislation, stemming from the public telling them they want this law, which would mandate all forms of communications with the public be in English, New Mexico Spanish, Navajo, and a Pueblo language(s). Why would this improve communications among public officials and the public? Because using a multiple mix of native New Mexico languages would condense any form of communications to its most common sense format that will be easily understood by all of the great people of the Land of Enchantment!
