One of the most glorious sites that I see when I drive the I10 - TopicsExpress

One of the most glorious sites that I see when I drive the I10 from the West Valley of suburban Phoenix, AZ to California is the wind turbines in the Palm Springs area. To me it is absolutely gorgeous. There is something spiritual about it, in my opinion. Knowing that these breathtaking pieces of machinery is producing CLEAN CLEAR ENERGY. I pray for the day when they are doing the same thing as the Palm Springs beauties and these lovely pieces of machinery are scattered throughout the clear plains of this wonderful country to produce more pure energy and helping our environment for the future. Not everyone will understand my enthusiasm for wind turbines. Having lived in the LA area for many years and hearing all the jokes putting the idea down, not knowing the entire process of the turbines when they first started appearing across the desert i still would defend the idea of using clean air. The wind is just there, blowing across the desert sand, lifting the grains off the bottom of the desert floor, those grains that would be putting pits in my windshield, and ruining the silver metalic paint of my car, so why not put it to use for something useful. Yes folks, that was my attempt at humor. Seriously, we should be grateful for these huge, but delicate looking pieces of machinery and those that have invented them, worked on them, and proceed to develop the concept. They are contributing to the good of the land, and the invironment of generations to come. © elle Tergina 2013
