One of the most haunting and powerful jazz albums ever recorded. Truly revolutionary music. Abbey Lincolns transcendent vocals, Max Roach on drums, Coleman Hawkins on tenor sax, Booker Little playing trumpet, and Olatunjis percussions. Incredible stuff! I saw Abbey Lincoln perform at the Atlanta Jazz Festival back in 1989. I got to meet her afterwards. Such a beautiful, talented, and gracious woman. I hung out with her for about an hour, and we talked about all kinds of stuff. Ill never forget it! This album deserves to be listened to all the way through. Sit back and fully absorb this one. Deeper than deep. https://youtube/watch?v=UsvFzXr-o-8
