One of the most important aspects of wedding preparation is alterations - whether it be for the bridal gown or bridesmaids. This can also be one of the most stressful - depending on weight issues, modifications, time lines, as well as cost. When someone purchases a gown, that is the time to ask questions about hems, necklines, bustles, fabric, any modification - we prefer to bring in our seamstresses before the dress is purchased to check on any questionable modification requests, whether or not it is feasible, the cost, etc. Its not worth selling a dress, if in the end the product is not what the customer invisioned. We have our own seamstresses here a Lindsey Lane - one for bridal, one for bridesmaid, special occasion. We have totally redesigned gowns for brides who seek a unique look - if a store just gives you a selected list because they do not do their own alterations, they are not involved in the process of getting the gown finalized - being a part of the whole process from beginning to end helps us to scrutinize sizing issues, design structure, and fabric options, all of which make for a perfect fit and a happy customer - at affordable prices.
