One of the most memorable moments of my Navy career was on the day that I reported for mobilization to Active Duty in January 2004. I was the only officer in the Houston RESCEN who was in uniform. A recruiter in the building had a young man in his office who was ready to be sworn in. I took a moment from my administrative processing to administer this oath to that young man. I wonder what the last 10 years have been like for that Sailor? \:-) [That is my new newly invented emoticon for hand salute.]
