One of the most nourishing foods on the planet...home-made chicken soup/broth. The best part is that is extremely simple&inexpensive to prepare and also delicious! We all need some chicken soup for our souls from time to time but our body needs it even more, especially now during the winter months. Check out the links in the comments for more info! Recipe: half of the chicken (preferable organic or free-range), all sorts of root veggies like carrots, parsnip, kohlrabi, then half of the onion or one leek, salt&pepper and bay leaves. Let it simmer for 2 hours or so and its all ready to go! Or I put it also in the slow cooker when I leave the house during the day. I serve it with good quality egg noodles (4 ingredients or less) and with fresh or dry parsley. And the top secret...it helps with the weight loss, too! :)
