One of the most underrated rock bands ever was a little combo from Weirton, WV called Crack the Sky. In 1975, Rolling Stone Magazine declared their first album debut album of the year, and in 1978, Rolling Stone Record Guide compared them to Steely Dan; their first three albums charted on the Billboard 200. Often compared to the likes of the aforementioned Steely Dan as well as bands like The Beatles, the band failed to reach a national audience, but offer some of the most original songwriting and arrangement in rock.
