One of the nice things about road trips to areas you have never been is the chance to stumble on little lunch places. Yesterday we were directed to a cafe that had one of the best squash soups Ive ever had! Sue got to try turkey salad for the first time in her life (really!). I had a yummy quiche (the one thing Ive never been able to make successfully). Today we were in Chester VT and were pointed to the Heritage Bakery Deli and I had pumpkin black bean sausage soup (seriously delicious) and a tarragon chicken salad sandwich on a fresh baked croissant. delicious! I brought home a cherry cream cheese danish for tomorrows breakfast! Cant wait to try it.
