One of the nicest men I have ever met, Master B. P. Chan disliked the term Master. He once called me at my apartment to see how I was doing with my practicing. Another time I questioned him if he ever had to use his technique in a real life situation. He told me about an incident in the Philippines where a man with a knife tried to rob him while he was in a taxicab. He told me how he quickly disarmed the man with the technique in this video. He made light of it saying he was disappointed in himself because the attacker had cut his sleeve. He probably broke the assailants elbow as the technique can do.
