One of the original founders of Hip-Hop/Poetry is on the listening Sunday playlist Gil Scott Heron his later albums are not considered classics in the poetic sense but the music work in the late 70s is of high quality and personally the poetry matches equally. The albums are regular listening on the iPOD for me from Secrets to Real Eyes This is one of my favourties from Secrets about the commercialism in the USA. Personally I went there the first time to New York and thought it was so overhyped, and we have better stores in London that I preferred East Village/Alphabet Street and the vintage stores in Williamsburg/Brooklyn and ironically I could get better items there which were original. youtu.be/svM3RtsHovc
