One of the "points" the anti Obamacare people are trying to make - TopicsExpress

One of the "points" the anti Obamacare people are trying to make is that you might not be able to keep your existing insurance plan How is this any different from someone who works for a company who offers insurance as a benefit? The answer is NOTHING! Every October the company I worked for (Kodak) sent out the benefits package for the next yerar and you had to elect the coverage you wanted. And over the 13 years I was there we changed insurance policies about 6 times. Each time the options became less, what was covered changed, and the cost went up. Now that I am retired and fortunately did not loose my families insurance "benefits" when they went into chapter 11 because of a deal they made with the insurance companies under COBRA for an open ended period. However I do pay 100% of the premium. I actually looked at the price of insurance in the CA exchange and the prices and coverage are comparable.
