One of the problems I have with my iPhone, is that it keeps dying before the end of the day (as our building accidentally acts as a giant Faraday cage, i.e. no cell phone signals can get in or out. Hence my phone spends all its time and power trying to connect to a cellular network that to all intent and purposes doesnt exist). However, scientists at Stanford may have found a way of designing a battery that triples the energy storage by coating a lithium anode with nano-sized particles. The research is reported in Nature Nanotechnology but you read a pretty decent summary on PCWorld.
