One of the reasons that affirmations have such a hard time really working is because of attractors and programming. And I use the word, really, on purpose, because we can fool ourselves into thinking that something is working if we want it enough, that’s the Ego Process at work. You can affirm till the cows come home but if your biology contains attractors to the contrary it is highly unlikely that your affirmation will actually be able to root in your body consciousness, unless something unusually stimulating happens to accompany it at some point. This is why the information that people are making so much money selling in works like The Secret is impotent. And that is why The Secret - which is no secret at all - is about the thousandth book saying what it says.
