One of the reasons why we decided to make twins the theme of this years Progress Educational Trust annual conference is because twin studies (which exploit the fact that monozygotic twins have near-identical genomes to try to clarify precisely what our genes contribute to our characteristics) now form the basis for so many far-reaching claims. Its hooked off research that was conducted at Karolinska Institutet and the University of Gothenburg and published in the journal Twin Research and Human Genetics, but the article proceeds rapidly from discussing the research to giving the reader relationship advice!
