One of the topics of discussion tonight night was the issue of no stop sign or safe cross-walk option heading eastward from the neighborhood park. I had the opportunity to speak with Mayor Morrison afterward, and she offered some very sound advice. Once our slightly unique scenario of no safe crossing option was explained, she was very much in support of our concerns. We have begun a database of residents (currently 25) who are in support of pursuing additional measures with the Town. We hope to have some progress news by our next meeting, and we are also looking into the concerns about car parking being restricted to sidewalk sides of the road and the safety issues this may create.
