One of the things I absolutely HATE is how writers and/or publishers try to take advantage of artists in the most unscrupulous way imaginable! If you’re an artist and a writer/publisher asks you to illustrate a cover or an image for a book/comic for free, they’re trying to take advantage of you and I urge you, for your sake and every other artists out there; DON’T DO WORK FOR FREE!!! You’re not only encouraging this hideous practice from these unscrupulous people, but you’re also messing with people’s livelihood because; why would a writer/publisher pay me for example if you’ll do the work for free? If a publishing house or a writer is making money, you as an artist should make money as well; fair is fair.
