One of the things about today that was unexpected is that whenever Serafina goes down the driveway to take a nap, Honroso the stallion loses his mind and goes bonkers against the fence. He is SO protective of her, aware of her every move, and disturbed when he loses sight of her. Today, after I spoke with all three of them, Serafina was put down in his sight, and neither he nor Serafinas baby reacted at all. I could not go down there while my sweet neighbors removed her and buried her for me with a backhoe. I was so concerned for the stallion. After Serafina was buried I went down there and Honroso looked at me with peaceful eyes. The baby too. I didnt feel her absence. Sometimes I think I make this stuff up, but I cant make it up for Honroso.... he was at peace and did not call for her once, or even look for her. WOW. He just looked at me as if to say, it is well, are you having a problem, human?
