One of the things we must look forward to in the new year,is to discuss at length the character of the YL we want.This must come out of robust and frank engagements among the young people,done without fear or favour,when we have concluded all this we will then saywho are the right people to lead the YL.Comrades it is very important to engage on the type of youth league we need not just to participate during elections and electing people without giving them a mandate.Its never about individuals but the organisation,and that is why I always say the youth hold the life of this movement,a robust and radical youth league is what we need,militant and yes we can be militant without insults,its not the same thing,a yl that will attract young people to its fold just like in the olden days,a youth league that will ensure structures are up and running,and this is not only for the youth league but for all us,believe me if we are to do this never again would we have a youth league that is at war with itself.I still believe in the current youth and we must support them till their term ends as they try rejuvenate this once powerful organ of the BNF.
