One of the tools I share in my relationship programs is to clearly discern what we desire and how to effectively communicate that to others. When we are unable to clearly articulate our desires, we can fall into the pit of victimhood because our needs are not being met. Then we become ripe for suffering because we blame others for not meeting our needs when we ourselves are not taking responsibility for clearly expressing them. And just because we can clearly articulate our desires do not guarantee that other people will meet them. Our happiness is hinged on our choice to be happy as opposed to waiting for others to make us happy. The following article suggests that Happy People ask deeper questions...
