One of the tools we use to teach children about orangutans is an original song written by our conservation staff called Si Pongo (the Orangutan). The song tells the story of how baby orangutans are dependent on their mothers and how they depend on forest fruits to survive, which is why we need to conserve their forest habitat. Watch this video to hear the song- its in Bahasa Indonesia, but the kids enthusiasm is contagious and we promise youll enjoy it even if you cant understand the words!
