One of the top Singaporean distance runners just competed in a certain race, got tired, cut across corners and managed an incredible finishing time, because he obviously ran several kilometres short. He then went on to do interviews with the media claiming that he finished the race in a good time, never mentioning the cutting of corners. This adds to the case of another Singaporean distance runner, gear sponsored by a reputable shoe company, who regularly lies to others about his results. For example, he told me he ran 33:40 at the 2012 Stanchart Singapore 10km when official results clocked him in at 35:00. I decline to reveal the names of these runners and their sponsors for now, but I think that runners who lie about their race results should get a blacklist on their resume that affects them in future sponsorship deals/job applications. Runners who have integrity problems dont deserve a place in our beautiful sport. Share if you agree. And the two of you, you jolly well know who you are. Own up, or someone else will eventually do it for you.
