One of the traits of iblis in the form of entertaining the male is via the male playing with his beard and plucking the hair of the beard. There is a narration about how the beard was given to man as a form of beauty, it beautifies the male (even scientifically proven).. Iblis only Intends to diminish your beauty as there is another narration that states playing with the beard or plucking the beard hair makes the persons image become ugly (along those lines).. Therefore, do not be distracted by iblis, rather when you find yourself doing so either grab a brush and brush your beard as its a mustahab action or grab a rosary and do tasbih keep your hands busy with the remembrance of Allah swt as its more beneficial and satisfying than playing with the hair on your face which will only destroy beauty.
