One of the worst things about living with PTSD is not knowing why you are not feeling anything? I met a wonderful couple today. The lady told me that she suffers with PTSD after she was hurt by a close member of her family when she was in her younger teens. She said: For years I didnt know what was wrong with me, until I was diagnosed. We agreed at the end of the conversation that there was in fact nothing wrong with her! She has PTSD because the person that hurt her had something severely WRONG with them...... She and I have a lot in common and Im starting to believe that there is nothing wrong with me, we just need a bit of work to function without anxiety, anger etc. The amusing part was, as we had a small hug. Her husband burst into tears.
