Im blessed with overseeing the Blackboard Awards, which honors awesome local teachers, and Im calling around to deliver the good news to the spring honorees. I hear back from one honoree in special ed, nominated by many parents, and she tells me shes 74 years old and were yapping away...and then it hits me: shes the aunt of one of my best friends. Ive known about her for years--and the award, and our special connection, is just beautiful happenstance. There you go........(I needed this today.)
