One of those young men who spent the weekend in the cold cells - TopicsExpress

One of those young men who spent the weekend in the cold cells over security bill alongside comrade Gacheke Gachihi is Governor Ershards Okello. I met Ershards at Kanga High School as form one student in 2005. He was in form 3, a soft student singing in the school church choir. Now, people often think those who go the streets to protest against potential human rights violations are some academic dwarfs who cant get into the so called white collar jobs. Ershards left Kanga with a straight A. He was among student tutors in my form one class. After, Kanga, I think he was admitted to study law at the University of Nairobi. May be Tom Ngeri can elucidate on this further. The point im making is that Uhuru regime is jailing very young people. The good thing about it is that it shows political consciousness is not dead in Kenya, and that while the generation of James Orengo and Gitobu Imanyara are exiting, a new generation is coming up and actively opposing a new tyranny. What we reject is that what we think about a democratically elected government, however disputed that election was, is to be determined by Dennis Itumbi and his witch-hunting gang, especially here on Facebook. So, really, it is this simple: the more you arrest and hit very young citizens with those outrage bail/bond terms; the more you radicalise more and the worse for you and your ethnic elites who cheer you on.In the end, you will be defeated.
