One question I have for the Yes camp. Salmonds plans are largely based on the RUK being most agreeable and consensual when it comes to dividing up assets, sharing the pound etc. Have you considered that a Yes vote will be seen as Scotland sticking a big two fingers up to the RUK and therefore why would they want to help Scotland with an easy transition to separation. I can see many people dismissing this as more pish but on the 19th if we wake up to a yes the majority of MPs in Westminster will consider Scotland as a foreign state. Not through malice or hatred but for purely practical reasons around retaining their own seats south of the border, this will include a determination not to share the pound. Even if Salmond thinks it will be best for both, the feeling amongst the RUK electorate will dictate much as ever with government policy and the feeling is strongly against sharing the pound. Stand by for the most acrimonious deforce in Scotland. Yes its negative to say this but Im afraid it is also the reality. Just think if the situation were reversed, Im sure no one in Scotland would want to give England an easy ride.
