One question Ive been getting asked a lot right now is, What made you decide to do a seminar on grief & loss? It sounds so depressing. My answer: Our society does a horrible job of supporting people during their time of loss. The grieving process is often misunderstood. We say things to people thinking were being helpful when in reality, we are making things worse. I want to educate people on the normal, natural healing powers of grieving. Sure it doesnt feel good but if we allow ourselves to openly discuss uncomfortable feelings, we become more connected. Vulnerability and connection are necessary parts of healing. Its about normalizing grief and reducing mental health stigma.
