One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind as Sapien BioSciences, an Apollo Hospital subsidiary introduces clinical genomic tests as part of a personalized medicine initiative. The first of these tests will be a clinical genomics panel for oncology designed to identify the mutations that drive cancer initiation and growth. This test will enable the prediction of patients’ response to medication, allowing physicians to tailor treatment based on the patients’ genomic profile.
