One thing I admire about my sage friends who have been away from organized religion for quite some time is the commonality they have in refraining from giving much advice to those who are new in their exodus. Mostly they just offer a kind, encouraging word of support and understanding. Im pretty sure that comes from knowing that this is a journey ... and around the next bend its highly possible that they, themselves, will discover a fragment of residual religion that was hiding under a stone that had yet to be turned.
