One thing I find irritating. Groups love to post their special interests on FB. That is fine, I like to read and be informed. Sometimes I comment on them. Also, should be fine. The problem is when I disagree. I am okay with a disagreement, but dont discount my opinion because I am not the same interest, race, gender ect. that you are. If I disagree with someone who is black I get discounted because I am white. If I disagree with a woman I get discounted because I am a man. The problem is that no matter what the issue is if we dont assign value to opinions of other groups we will never understand the other side. We will never broaden our perspectives by not allowing for other opinions. We will never grow if we never allow ourselves the chance to be wrong. We can never challenge ourselves if we are not judged by others.
