One thing I have been very blessed with over 30 years of driving - TopicsExpress

One thing I have been very blessed with over 30 years of driving all over the Country is to have met some of the most wonderful people. I also think of all the great drivers I have known. Many of them gone now; Paul The Brick Brickley. A Vietnam Veteran who was my co-driver on an armored Wells Fargo ten wheeler in Boston in the early 80s. I always knew The Brick had my back if the shit hit the fan. John Stove Pipe Stozell. My co-driver at Transfer Service, Most people gave him a wary look because of his deformed jaw. He had been hit by Chinese machine gun fire at the Chosin Reservoir in Korea. Greg Route Squirrel Whalen lost to depression 15 years ago. Jim Chili Dog Holland still jamming gears in Texas I am happy to say. And John Ssekasozi who was the worst student I ever had and rode out the aftermath of the L.A. riots with me at TLC. (He now owns 6 rigs with North American Van Lines.) Bob Burdoch who helped me buy my first Transcraft Eagle trailers. I also want to mention the great drivers I now share life with; Maurice Poor who is an adopted son to me. Ron Tompkins, A gear jammer of the old school who pushes himself every day to the max and lives to get home to Mama. Under Truck Driver in the dictionary it says See Ron Tompkins. Guenter Kleyensteuber, who helps me keep my German current. Tony Chamberland, One of the most fun and happy go lucky drivers I have ever run with. Also my great friend from UrbanCoonhounds Suzanne Hansen from Wyoming a Haz-Mat tanker driver who loves her Bloodhound Phred :) This is for you guys ! Be safe this winter !
