One thing I loved about this version of Michael was the realism. He doesnt get haircuts or shave, the mask is showing wear and tear. I love how it answers the question of what happens after Halloween. He becomes a nomad waiting for Halloween to come again, he doesnt wear the mask to keep from getting caught and only puts it on when he goes into the shape mode....Shows his intelligence and that he is more than just a mindless killer. And yet at the same time the supernatural element still exists allowing him to walk away what would kill a normal man.
