One thing I will say about social media. It has become an outlet for truth to be seen that would often be censored in other forms of media. This video of young Michael Brown dead in the street of St. Louis is very hard to watch but it is what the world needs to see. Listen very closely to the commentary of the people in the neighborhood. They are talking about what they saw and heard. The teenagers body was in the street for 10 minutes at least before he was covered with a sheet. At 2:49 his father attempts to see his son but the police escort him away. The world needs to see how overly aggressive, insensitive and violent the police are towards black men and boys. This young man was supposed to start college yesterday. He had no weapon. The police statement about what happened does not make sense. President Obama acknowledged Robin Williams death yesterday. I really hope he addresses the pattern of police brutality taking place across the nation in black neighborhoods. This video is beyond painful but if you take pride and respect in knowing the truth you will watch it and share it. The next step is being part of the solution. Its time.
