One thing is very evident and troubling to me as I watch this video (and I am about half way through). That is that many of the former male colleagues of Jians heard about the allegations and remained silent. They metaphorically through their hands in the air during at the time, and still during these interviews. The portray themselves and powerless and dumbfounded. Those interviewed so far in this video are making excuses for themselves. They keep saying things like, I had no reason not to believe him. He was my friend or I didnt know if it was true and I had no power. Geez. Even they make references to jilted exes. Say something. It took someone a long time to acknowledge the abuse and so far it seems that no one from CBC actually took action until the abuse became public. They all suggest that upon learning about the allegations (even after they already heard rumours) they did not know if they were true or what to believe. How about this: The large majority of women do not lie about rape or abuse! Anything would have been better than nothing. Sadly, so far it seems everyone involved cared more about Ghomeshis reputation and their own careers than they did about the past victims and potential future ones. Now I will watch the rest of the video.
